Former Manchester City captain Fernandinho has told manager Pep Guardiola he reignited his love for the game.
Fernandinho has left City for Athletico Paranaense this summer.
And in a City documentary on Fernandinho, the Brazilian is filmed in conversation with Guardiola.
“You don't know how much I learned in this time and I'm going to tell you something I never told anyone before," began the midfielder.
“You made me fall in love with football again."
Pep smiles and asks, “You were getting tired of it?"
“Yes, I was," replies Ferna. “I learned to play a different way.
“But I learned that football is much simpler than everyone says.
“People will tell you football is complex - that is this, that it is that - but it isn't.
“Many of these things I take with me for the rest of my life, and I will try and apply that message so others can learn, too."
Pep asks the Brazil legend whether he will move into management anytime soon?
He responds: “I will wait a bit first, but I don't feel like it right now.
“It depends on how things are going, how I am doing and how I feel, because right now I don't feel like it at all.
“Right now, I want to lie on a beach with my family and relax at home.
“In theory, I'll play another two years until I'm 39."
