Kasper Schmeichel has rubbished claims about his professionalism at Nice.

The Denmark goalkeeper left Leicester City for Nice over the summer and there's been reports of Schmeichel being overweight and arriving late for training.

"I think you know me well enough to know that I'm not the type to read gossip. I can't relate to that," Schmeichel told Bold.

"Once ten years ago, when I drove the wrong way (I was late for training). I don't know what the story is so it's hard to comment. I've lived in this world all my life and you don't learn to read gossip there.

"You must have something to write about. I relate to the fact that I have played for 19 years and if you call all the coaches, they say that I am perhaps the most professional person they know."
