Juventus legend Mark Iuliano insists that Inter Milan remains the team to beat ahead of the upcoming Serie A campaign.

The Nerazzurri won the Serie A title last term with a landslide. They mathematically clinched the title with five rounds to spare with a historic win over AC Milan on Matchday 33.

This summer, Inter’s rivals are trying their best to close the gap on Simone Inzaghi’s band.

Juventus, Milan and Napoli have all appointed new head coaches and are currently working on bolstering their ranks.

Nevertheless, Iuliano feels that the defending champions still have what it takes to defend against all comers.

Therefore, the former Juventus defender tips the Nerazzurri to prevail in the Serie A title race once more.

“Yes, Inter are still the favorites,” said the 50-year-old in his interview with TuttoJuve via FcInterNews.

“They are the champions of Italy. They have the strongest team and play the best football.

“The group has been together for many years now, it is logical that they are the ones to beat.”

Iuliano also discussed Napoli and Milan’s work on the market.

“I see Napoli operating decisively on the market, we must not forget the value of Conte and how he coaches to win championships.

“Milan are still a work in progress so it’s hard to evaluate them now. I do not fully understand the type of project. I have some doubts, for example, they were looking for one type of striker and then they bought another.

“However, I really like Morata, as I consider him a great center forward and I would have liked him to rejoin Juventus.

“He is an exemplary professional and a leader in the locker room. So I congratulate the Rossoneri on this coup.”
