Former Inter and Lecce winger Francesco Moriero has said that there is a low chance of Lecce getting any points against Inter on Saturday, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with Sky Sport in Italy, via FCInternews, the former winger explained how he will be at the game as he is a Lecce fan but also because of what he got from Inter when he played for the Nerazzurri.

“I will be at the stadium, I cannot miss it. First because I am a Lecce fan, second because I received so much from Inter when I played there.”

Talking about the match specifically on Saturday evening, he explained that there are issues in defence for Lecce to address and partly for that reason, the chances of getting any points for the newly-promoted side are almost slim to nil.

“In Lecce there is an air of celebration, I foresee a great match knowing that Inter are favourites for the Scudetto. The Giallorossi’s weak point is the defence, I expect some reinforcements because the two centre-backs are currently injured.

“Corvino is creating a very young team, it’s normal that Lecce will have to play a great match against a very strong formation. We hope it will be a celebration, even if chances to score points on paper there are none; then the field can always give surprises.”

Inter are expected to be fielding a full-strength team for the game in Puglia because Marcelo Brozovic and Stefan de Vrij are going to be fit enough after some recent injury worries in training.
