Andrea Pinamonti’s immediate future is rather complex according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Pinamonti joined Genoa on a permanent basis from Inter back in the Summer of 2019 and as part of the deal the two clubs came to a gentleman’s agreement which would enable Inter to re-sign Pinamonti at a later day.
Pinamonti currently earns €3 million net a year and Genoa cannot afford to continue paying him that much whilst Inter cannot afford to re-sign Pinamonti for the pre-agreed fee of €20 million.
The question that needs to be resolved is if he is to go out on loan, who pays his wages and if he is to be sold, how much will he be sold for and will there be a buy-back option etc. In short it is a highly complicated situation.
Last season the 21-year-old forward, scored seven goals and provided three assists for his teammates in 34 appearances across all competitions.
