Legendary former Inter striker Aldo Serena feels that the Nerazzurri completely overwhelmed Roma in the first half of their 3-0 win at the Stadio Olimpico earlier this evening.

The former striker gave the view in a tweet that the Nerazzurri had been a “steamroller” as they raced to an emphatic 3-0 win over the Giallorossi.

Inter not only dominated possession at the Olimpico, but they also created quite a few more chances than the opposition, and in truth they were good value for their margin of victory.

The second half was far less frenetic than the first, with both teams seeming the recognize that there was only one way that the result was going and trying to preserve their energy.

During the first half, both teams seemed fully committed to fighting for the result, but it was Inter who looked to be the team who had full control with little that their opposite numbers could do to find any control.

His tweet reads, “No lack of will from Roma, but they faced a steamroller from Inter in the first half.”
