Former Inter midfielder Salvatore Bagni has said that Juventus forward Paulo Dybala would not work in Inter’s current system under Simone Inzaghi, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Speaking during an interview with ITASportPress, Salvatore Bagni explained that he does not think that the Argentine forward would work as the second striker in Simone Inzaghi’s favoured 3-5-2 system. That is why he thinks that the Bianconeri player is not a first-choice target for the Nerazzurri.

“I don’t see him as the second striker in 3-5-2 for example. I don’t know how and where he could play in this Inter.

“Inter works like this, I don’t see why they would change. Then it’s clear: if Alexis Sanchez leaves, you have to get someone. But I don’t think Dybala is the first choice for Inter.”

Paulo Dybala will be out of contract with Juventus in the summer and does not currently look very close to renewing his deal at the club.

That is why Inter and Beppe Marotta in particular appears to be on high alert, along with many other clubs across Europe.

Salvatore Bagni also discussed the difference between Antonio Conte’s Inter team and the current one under Simone Inzaghi which is viewed as much more fluid and creative.

“Perhaps Conte’s Inter was a bit more predictable. This was forced upon him by the presence of Romelu Lukaku, without a shadow of a doubt, but he was a deadly finisher.

“Inzaghi’s, on the other hand, is much more dynamic, unpredictable and has many more variables. I have heard of Robin Gosens: not a bad purchase.”
