Ex-Inter Defender Beppe Bergomi: “Simone Inzaghi Doing An Excellent Job, Perisic & Calhanoglu The Best On The Field” | OneFootball

Former Inter defender Beppe Bergomi has singled out Ivan Perisic and Hakan Calhanoglu for their performances in the Champions League against Shakhtar Donetsk, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking in the Sky Sport studio after the 2-0 victory over the Ukrainian champions, via FCInternews, Beppe Bergomi said that Simone Inzaghi is doing an excellent job at the club so far and that the performance had enthusiasm.

“Inzaghi is doing an excellent job, Inter’s match with Shakhtar was enthusiastic. It is a team that brings many players in the attacking phase and Brozovic gives balance.”

Beppe Bergomi then singled out two players specifically for praise which were Ivan Perisic who set up the second goal and Hakan Calhanoglu who was dangerous throughout the match.

” If I have to give two names, I would say Perisic and Calhanoglu, the best on the field.”

The 2-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk meant that Inter have qualified for the latter stages of the Champions League for the first time in a decade which is a tremendous achievement for Simone Inzaghi in his first season in charge of the Nerazzurri.

Inter must beat Real Madrid if they are to win the group.
