Goalkeeper Yann Sommer is annoyed that Bayern Munich are stalling on his transfer to Inter Milan.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInterNews, who report that the negotiations are ongoing between Bayern and Inter but that the 34-year-old former Borussia Monchengladbach man is increasingly irritated that the Bavarians haven’t given the go-ahead.

Inter have now been hovering over Sommer for a number of days without making a decisive move to sign the 34-year-old.

The Nerazzurri have wanted to wrap up a deal for Sommer quickly after selling Andre Onana to Manchester United.

The fact that Inter captain Samir Handanovic has also left the club means that the Nerazzurri are currently without a starting-quality senior goalkeeper in their squad.

Inter have failed in their objective of signing Sommer before their preseason tour of Japan. They are currently in the country, but have not yet signed the Swiss.

For his part, Sommer doesn’t want to wait any longer. He is keen on the move and wants to be able to join the Nerazzurri in the coming days.

Inter could either sign Sommer for his €6 million release clause, or convince Bayern on a lower fee.

But the Nerazzurri want to make sure they have the go-ahead from the Bavarians. Negotiations have been cordial so far, with both clubs aiming to make the deal happen.

However, on the part of Bayern, there is still some heel-dragging.

The reason for this is some concern by the German champions that selling Sommer prematurely could leave them without a starting-quality goalkeeper.

Bayern keeper Manuel Neuer is still not fit. And the Bavarians are not yet close to completing a deal for Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Therefore, they are still waiting.

And according to SportItalia, Sommer is none too pleased about this. He wants to join Inter as soon as possible to start preparing for next season.
