Ex-Fiorentina Striker Luca Toni: “Inter Have A Powerful Attack & Have Full Squad Right Now While Juventus Have Many Injuries” | OneFootball

Legendary former Fiorentina, Bayern Munich, and Hellas Verona striker Luca Toni believes that Inter have a very strong attack right now, and also that they are helped by superior fitness than Juventus.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the former striker gave the view that while the Nerazzurri have an attack that looks to be enough to power them to a potential title, the Bianconeri will be stronger when players start to return from injury.

Inter have yet to stumble in Serie A, taking six points from six, the same as Napoli and Roma, whilst other touted favourites for the Serie A title like AC Milan and Juventus have each dropped two points in the last round of fixtures.

Right now the Nerazzurri look to be well-placed, but as Toni pointed out this is also a function of the fact that they don’t have many injuries, and could change as the season goes on.

“Inter have an incredibly powerful attack,” he noted. “But Inter have all their players available, whereas Juve have many injuries including three big players in the form of Di Maria, Pogba, and Chiesa.”
