Former Everton coach Duncan Ferguson has turned down an approach from Dundee United.

The Telegraph says Ferguson has rejected an approach from Dundee United in relation to their vacant manager's position.

The Scot left the Blues at the end of last season to fulfill his dream of taking on his own first-team role.

A potential opening to manage in the Scottish Premiership has now arisen, though it appears he has passed up on this opportunity.

Ferguson is a former United player, coming through the youth system at Tannadice.
