Ex-Bayern Munich youth coach Morales: I was moving to AC Milan with Rangnick

Former Bayern Munich youth coach Massimo Morales has revealed he was to be part of Ralf Rangnick's staff at AC Milan.

Rangnick was due to take charge before Stefano Pioli turned results around after the restart.

“I was going to be part of Rangnick's staff at Milan," revealed Morales to Radio Sportiva.

"I'd known for some time that it wasn't going to happen and it was his choice. He wanted to just be a coach with the Rossoneri, not the technical director, which was suggested.

“It's true Rangnick wanted carte blanche when choosing players and making decisions, as he has immense experience and you have to put your trust in him because, without wanting to be too bold, his history shows that he deserves it."
