Even as the new season gets underway, it is unlikely that the hostile atmosphere created by Spanish fans towards Vinicius Junior is going to change anytime soon.
In Real Madrid’s most recent game against Real Oviedo, Vinicius, who wasn’t initially part of the starting eleven, was booed by Oviedo fans at the stadium.
A few fans had even hurled racist chants against the Real Madrid superstar.
In light of this unfortunate incident, the Brazilian international has already received support from former Barcelona winger Keita Balde Diao.
Currently plying his trade for AC Monza, Diao talked about the hate and hostility shown towards Vinicius by majority of Real Madrid’s opponents.
Keita Balde started out by name calling certain clubs, whose fans have appeared quite violent towards Vinicius.
“Vinicius? Receiving insults for 90 minutes isn’t pleasant at all. It has become a trend to insult Vini in Osasuna, Barcelona, Valencia, etc,” he told El Chiringuito.

The Monza winger went on to explain that there is no valid reason behind the hate for Vinicius.
“If you are looking for a big reason as to why, well there is none,” he added.
This is a big statement coming from a player, who spent the majority of his youth career in Barcelona.
With almost 200 appearances in Serie A, Keita Balde is deeply involved in works to curb racism and this is not the first time he is calling out racism in Spain either.
Keita Balde’s most notable work came when helped homeless seasonal workers in the Spanish city of Lleida after they were reportedly refused accomodation in local hotels.
Now, the AC Monza winger has backed Vinicius after yet another incident of racism and hate towards the Brazilian winger, this time at the home turf of a newly-promoted club.
