Ex-Barcelona midfielder Giuly on Mbappe vs Messi: 15 years can't be compared to one hat-trick

Former Barcelona midfielder Ludovic Giuly says the current team is at the end of it's cycle after their Champions League defeat to PSG.
Giuly played for both Barca and PSG during his career.
He told Le Parisien: "Barça was small because there was a huge PSG. It is true that Barcelona is getting old and is at the end of its cycle. But PSG played the perfect game."
On talk of hat-trick Kylian Mbappe now replacing Leo Messi as the world's best, Giuly scoffed.
"Calm down and watch out for contempt. Mbappé will soon be the Ballon d'Or. We all know that. But he still needs consistency. What Leo has done in the last fifteen years cannot be compared to a hat-trick, even if it were sublime," he continued.
"I do not like to forget all or want to rewrite history. These comparisons are meaningless. Suffer let Kylian make his own way. He has other qualities: he's very fast and skilled. He plays on the wing, while Leo moves more through the centre. Mbappé's destiny is not to be a new Messi, but to become Mbappé."
