Ex-Barcelona B coach García Pimienta takes charge of Las Palmas

Former Barcelona B coach Francisco Javier García Pimienta has been named new boss of Las Palmas.

After the departure of Las Palmas icon Pepe Mel, Garcia Pimienta was named new coach of the Canarians on Sunday.

García Pimienta has signed with Las Palmas until June 2023.

He was sacked as Barca B coach at the end of last season, having been working inside the La Masia academy since 2001.

García Pimienta will have Alex Garcia as his No2.
