Puig left Barcelona in 2014 after nine years in the academy, where he became the coordinator.

Currently, at 53 years old, the Cambrils coach will live his second experience as head coach in Japan, where he already trained Albirex Niigata, of the J-2 League.

There he came from New York City FC, where he was Domènec Torrent's assistant coach.
