Former AS Roma midfielder Jordan Veretour has said that Marseille fans like players such as former Inter striker Alexis Sanchez, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during a press conference, via FCInternews, the midfielder who has also moved to Marseille this summer spoke very positively about Alexis Sanchez who left Inter last week for Marseille.

He pointed out that the Chilean scored a wonderful goal for the Nerazzurri against AS Roma last season in the Coppa Italia and that he is the sort of player that Marseille fans are very keen on due to his fiery personality and work rate.

“Against Roma he scored a fantastic goal last season. Marseille fans can only love a player like that.”

Alexis Sanchez received severance pay from Inter in order to break his contract so that they can stop paying his very high wages.

Once that had been agreed on, he was able to make the move to Marseille that his agent had negotiated.
