On Saturday, Dundee United confirmed the signing of Nikolaj Moller from FC St. Gallen on a permanent transfer, with the striker joining on an initial two-year contract with the option to extend to 2028. He’ll wear the number 77 shirt.
Moller previously spent three years with Arsenal, joining the academy in 2020. The striker played 20 times for the Arsenal u23s (as they were then), contributing 10 goals and assists.
But the youngster spent the majority of his Arsenal spell out on loan, playing for Viktoria Koln in Germany and FC Den Bosch in the Netherlands. Arsenal then decided to part ways with the 23-year-old in 2023, selling him to FC St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Moller made 23 appearances for the Swiss club and a further 24 for Stromsgodset in Norway on another loan spell, but he’s now returning to the UK with Dundee United.
“Nikolaj has a terrific physical profile which is perfectly-suited to the combative nature of the Scottish Premiership, but he’s more than just a traditional target man,” Dundee United boss Jim Goodwin said.
“He has the rare blend of height, technical ability and raw pace, which allows him both to play with his back to goal and link the game or stretch opposition defences with selfless runs into the channels.
“These attributes gave him the opportunity to learn within some elite footballing environments during his formative years, and he’s a more well-rounded player thanks to those experiences.”

After all the back and forth of the last few years, Moller will now be hoping to settle in with Dundee United and prove himself in the Scottish first tier.
