Ex-AC Milan Captain Riccardo Montolivo: “Inter Have Something More Than Their Rivals But Anything Can Happen In Serie A” | OneFootball

Former AC Milan and Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo feels that Inter are the strongest team in Serie A but that the league could still be full of surprises.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, the former Rossoneri captain emphasized that even though the Nerazzurri are the team with the most quality in the Italian top flight in his view, there is no guarantee that they will win the league.

Inter remain at the top of the Serie A table even after a damaging loss to AC Milan in the derby, and they are still the team to have shown the most attacking quality and control of matches in Serie A so far this season.

However, there are few if any straightforward matches in the Italian top flight, and Montolivo believes that over the rest of the campaign there will be many opportunities for drama and surprises.

“I think that Inter have something more than their rivals in Italy,” the former midfielder said of the title race, “but anything can happen in Serie A, there can be big surprises.”
