Brownsville, Texas.- Chivas Femenil is a few hours away of its first international episode away from Mexico, since this Wednesday at 7:30 PM CT, they will face Inter Milano Women at Brownsville Sports Park. How is their trajectory? After 110 years of history, the club from Milan announced the creation of their women’s team on October 2018 after acquiring the Serie B side ASD Femminile Inter Milano. At the end of that season the franchise made its way to Serie A and got to the round of 16 of Coppa Italia.

Their best performance so far took place last season, when they made it to the Cup semifinals. This trip to the United States is the first experience abroad for the Italians as well.

Who is their head coach? The Inter Women manager is Rita Guarino, former Italian National Team player who participated in the 1991 and 1999 World Cups, besides from disputing the 1993, 1997 and 2001 European Championships.

Guarino has had a notable managerial career as she won 4 straight Serie A titles with Juventus between 2018 and 2021, as well as the 2019 Coppa Italia and the Italian Supercups of 2019 and 2020. She is Inter’s head coach since July 2021.

The team for 2022-23The Nerazurri squad is just beginning its preseason, for which they have incorporated a few players to the team before traveling to the United States.

Some of the new signings include goalkeeper Alesia Piazza; defenders Chiara Robustellino, Beatrix Fordos and Stefanie Van Der Gragt, besides from midfielder Mana Mihashi.

Where do they play? Inter Milano Women dispute their home games at Suning Youth Development Center. Previously they did at Polideportivo Sedriano and Estadio Felice Chinetti.
