The new Bundesliga season kicks off on Friday with the reigning champions in action, as is tradition in Germanyâs top flight.
But what do you absolutely have to know before the new campaign gets underway? Weâve got you covered.
Bayern Munich are the heavy favourites as they aim for an 11th successive Bundesliga crown, but their rivals will be hoping a door is left open by the departure of Robert Lewandowski, even if the champions have added Sadio Mané and Matthijs de Ligt
The most likely challengers are Borussia Dortmund, who have strengthened in defence (Niklas SĂŒle, Nico Schlotterbeck), midfield (Salih Ăzcan), and attack (Karim Adeyemi, SĂ©bastien Haller) as well as placing former interim boss Edin TerziÄ in the dugout.
RB Leipzig will also consider themselves in the hunt, as will last seasonâs third-place side Bayer Leverkusen, who have kept all of their key names but are set to be without wonderkid Florian Wirtz until the winter.
Schalke are back after just one season in the second tier after Simon Terodde fired them to promotion with 30 goals in as many games last season.
And Werder Bremen also bounced back to the top flight immediately.
Both sides have done plenty of business this summer and will be optimistic they can consolidate themselves back in the league they historically belong in.
Ready? Deep breath âŠ
Edin TerziÄ is now permanent head coach at BVB, replacing Marco Rose after just one season in charge. Dortmund have also seen their U23 boss, Enrico MaaĂen, leave to take over at FC Augsburg.
Newly-promoted Schalke have turned to Frank Kramer, released by Bielefeld in the spring, and narrowly-escaped Hertha BSC have hired Sandro Schwarz.
Niko KovaÄ is back in the league with VfL Wolfsburg, AndrĂ© Breitenreiter also returns after becoming a champion in Switzerland to take over TSG Hoffenheim, and Daniel Farke is in the top tier of German football for the first time with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
