Former Blue Glen Johnson has urged Liverpool to sign Marc Cucurella as a replacement for Andy Robertson this summer.
The Blues face a huge two weeks before the end of the season and know they must win their final two games against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest if they are to qualify for the Champions League.
Chelsea currently occupy the fifth and final Champions League spot and no there’s no margin for error, whilst they also have the Conference League final against Real Betis.
It’s set to be a busy summer not just for Chelsea but also the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal.
Whilst Chelsea’s main priority is a striker, Liverpool are looking for a left back and have been linked with Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez.

However, former Blue Johnson, who also played for the Reds has urged the English Champions to do everything to sign Cucurella.
“If I were Liverpool, I would be doing everything I could to sign Marc Cucurella, he would be my first choice Robertson replacement,” he said as quoted by Metro.
“I’m not sure if he is available, but he is by far the best left-back in the Premier League, and everyone is available for the right price.
“He has really kicked on since the Euros last year, and the best I have seen him play was against Liverpool a few weeks ago, up against the best winger in the league.
“Cucurella is being massively overlooked by Liverpool in their search for a left-back, but I doubt Chelsea would be keen to let him go.”
Whilst Cucurella has been outstanding this season and one of Chelsea’s best performers the Blues lack any back-up for the Spain international.
Renato Veiga was signed last summer, but is currently on loan at Juventus and a candidate to be sold, whilst Malo Gusto and Reece James have played out of position if needed.
