FLW outline the weekly wage of each of Sheffield United's strikers.

Sheffield United endured a dismal Premier League campaign last year at both ends of the pitch but Chris Wilder will hope that he has enough attacking depth and firepower for a promotion push.

They must put that behind them and re-group to go again in what promises to be an interesting season. The Blades are expected to be there or thereabouts come the end of the campaign, in part due to quality operators in the Championship. It is the job of Wilder to live up to those expectations and deliver.

However, they have lost key forwards in Cameron Archer, Ben Brereton-Diaz, and Oli McBurnie. With that in mind, they needed to address their forward department to add more firepower to their team beyond just Kieffer Moore.

He was one of the attacking players they brought to Bramall Lane. Here, we take a look at the respective weekly wages each striker earns at Bramall Lane during the 2024/25 campaign.

Prior to Moore signing, Rhian Brewster was the club's most senior striking option at the age of just 24, and he has scored 15 times in 57 games at Championship level in his career to date. It highlighted the need for more depth and quality in Wilder's attack if they are to challenge for promotion at the first time of asking.

It was reported that the Blades paid a fee of around £23.5 million to sign the then 20-year-old back in 2020. So far, they have yet to see much of a return on their investment in him. The striker has not made more than 16 league appearances for Sheffield United in any of the last three seasons, limiting his involvement even in their promotion back to the Premier League in 2023.

He had shown some promise at Swansea City at this level previously though, scoring 11 goals in 22 appearances during a loan spell with the Championship club in 2020. However, he struggled to translate that into Premier League form during his debut season with Sheffield United.

His wage reflects the investment made in him over four years ago, and Brewster will hope that this season he can prove his worth at this level despite his place in the pecking order.

2 Tyrese Campbell - £15,000

Tyrese Campbell does not have the most blistering goal record or a particularly impressive injury record, but, like Brewster, he's still young and he also has extensive experience at this level.

While signing the 24-year-old to come as the primary striker would seem fairly unambitious for a side that should be targeting automatic promotion, adding him as a support for the attacking unit is a strong move. That's especially true given Campbell's versatility, with the forward able to operate as a number-nine, a second-striker, or as a right-sided forward.

In a good season, Campbell will be knocking on the door of double figures in the goalscoring charts. If he can reproduce that this season without shouldering the whole burden for all their attacking output, then those goals could be the difference between success and failure for the Blades.

Free transfers notoriously mean high pay packets upon signing for a new side, but Campbell is a smart addition at a reasonable price. He could have been on much more had he remained fit for more of his Stoke City career, but he still has years ahead of him to develop. Time will tell just how smart this move is in the long run for Sheffield United.

3 Kieffer Moore - £25,000

Moore returned to the Vitality Stadium following his successful loan spell with Ipswich Town, which saw the 31-year-old play a crucial role in helping the Tractor Boys over the line and into the Premier League under the guidance of Kieran McKenna.

The target man will hope to replicate that again this season in South Yorkshire, but he reminded the Championship of the sort of impact he can make in the second tier with seven goals in 18 league appearances, proving that he's still a highly productive centre-forward in the right system at this level.

The in-demand striker is clearly an excellent player for the Championship, and it's no surprise that seemingly half the division were trying to sign him when it became apparent that Bournemouth were happy to let him leave on loan in January, too.

Sheffield United have signed a player who is guaranteed to score goals in almost any team or system, but especially if he has runners off him or a strike partner beside him. He has added a much-needed focal point to spearhead their attack and the Welshman could be the difference between a disappointing season of struggle or challenging for the top six and beyond, such is the impact he's made previously in the division.
