The 60-year-old passed away this week due to a heart attack. Wishes have been pouring in from across the globe for a player who showcased the true majesty of the sport.

Talking about his late friend, Mourinho revealed that Maradona would call him up after heavy defeats but never after a win.

While Maradona’s footballing ability is no secret, Mourinho has also revealed that the Argentine possessed a big heart. An aspect that is perhaps not seen by those not close to him.

Maradona appears to have had an excellent opinion of Mourinho. His phone calls to the Spurs boss after defeats were to remind him that he is the best. It is an interesting tidbit on the relationship between two giants of the game.
