Everton midfielder Kenza Dali and West Ham United defender Hawa Cissoko have been included in French national team head coach Corinne Diacre’s squad for this summer’s UEFA Women’s EURO in England.

Diacre named her 23-player squad for the upcoming tournament earlier today with Dali and Cissoko providing representation in the group from the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.

Both players have been regularly selected by national team boss Diacre in the lead up to the tournament and their inclusion in the squad for this summer’s EUROs comes as no surprise.

Everton midfielder Dali has collected 42 senior international caps since making her debut for Les Bleues back in 2014. The player has scored nine goals for her country to date.

West Ham United defender Cissoko has made just five senior appearances for France in the last five years but her performances for her club this season have helped her win back her place in the squad following a lengthy absence.

France arrive at this summer’s UEFA Women’s EURO with a poor record in the tournament. Les Bleues have always promised so much but have never advanced beyond the quarter-finals.

Diacre’s side have been drawn in Group D for this summer’s tournament alongside Italy, Belgium and Iceland.
