The 23-year-olds – left-back Sara and defensive midfielder Karen – agreed two-year contracts, which see Sara head out on loan to her former club Fortuna Hjørring.

Manager Brian Sorensen told evertonfc.com: “They have been on my transfer list from day one.

“Having worked with them at Fortuna, they are two of the most promising talents we have coming out of Denmark.

“Sara is of the best left-footer’s I’ve seen. She’s clever with her play and reads the game very well.

“Karen is the physical presence in midfield. She’s a player Evertonians are going to love – she has the qualities they demand from a player.

“Defensively and offensively on set-pieces, they are strong in the air.”

Meanwhile, 31-year-old midfielder Kenza Dali leaves and signs for Aston Villa on a two-year deal.

A French international, Dali has over 40 senior caps to her name.

Villa Manager Carla Ward told avfc.co.uk: “To bring in someone of Kenza’s calibre is a sign of the direction this football club wants to go in.”

“She has a wealth of experience, domestically and internationally. She will bring a huge amount of quality to this team.”
