Everton striker Ellis Simms feels he's learned plenty during his loan at Blackpool.

The young striker left the Blues on a temporary basis in January and subsequently bagged two goals in his first ever League One appearance, in a 5-0 win over Wigan for his new side.

The 20-year-old has now made six appearances in all competitions for the Seasiders as he continues to adapt to his first real taste of senior football.

Simms told the club's website: “I've noticed quite a big difference between the two, particularly the physicality of the senior side of the game.

“Obviously, you're coming up against experienced athletes at times who have been involved in the game for a number of years, so you have to learn and adapt your game quickly.

“Working under a head coach in Neil Critchley, who is renowned for helping players grow and develop at Liverpool previously, is fantastic and I'm enjoying working under him and the rest of the coaching staff."
