Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin admits there's a lot of frustration after their 3-2 defeat to Brentford.
The Bees had to come from behind as Everton saw Jarrad Branthwaite and Jose Rondon saw red for the hosts.
Calvert-Lewin said: "Very frustrating. We started so well. A big decision has gone against us and it was difficult from there. We got the lead and we were defending, defending but unfortunately it went against us today."
On his opening goal, he added: "It came off me but unfortunately it hasn't amounted to anything. A lot of disappointment having given so much today but we have to go again Thursday. We want to do it for ourselves, the manager and the fans.
"We dug deep. We showed spirit and we grafted. It is a long time to keep defending. We just have to pick ourselves up but we have the opportunity on Thursday to go again.
"It's still in our hands. The chat after the game was positive. We have to rest and recover and work as hard as we possibly can on Thursday."
