In a recent print edition, ABC Sevilla stated that Everton are set to rival Brighton and Hove Albion for Mirandes striker Raul Garcia who is playing on loan from Real Betis. It is understood that the Toffees have set their sights on recruiting the talented youngster this summer.

Garcia’s Impressive Loan Spell At Mirandes This Season

Garcia is having a great loan spell at Mirandes where he has grown into a prolific goal-scorer. The 22-year-old has been involved in 37 matches for the Spanish outfit this season, scoring 19 goals and picking up seven assists in the process across various competitions.

The gifted centre-forward has led the line well for Mirandes and deserves a lot of credit for being consistent for them in terms of his goal-scoring numbers in the final third.

Garcia’s current contract at his parent club Real Betis is set to run out in the summer of 2025. Thus, Everton will have to make a sizable offer if they want to win the race to sign him in this off-season.

What Will Garcia Bring To Everton?

At the moment, Garcia is playing at a very high level in La Liga 2 where he has banged in goals for fun this season. He excels at finding space for himself to get a few strikes in on-target and has got the vision to orchestrate a few promising chances for his teammates in the final third. The Spaniard is a good dribbler with the ball as well and has proven himself to be a consistent goal-getter in the second tier of Spanish football.

We can expect Garcia to bring some goals and creativity to Everton boss Sean Dyche’s attacking department. He will undoubtedly increase competition for places within the Merseyside club‘s match-day squad.

At 22, Garcia will only get better in the coming seasons which makes him a great, long-term fit for the Toffees. Therefore, Dyche should try everything they can to lure him to the blue half of Merseyside during this summer transfer window. However, there are some serious concerns over whether he can cope with the physical nature and high intensity of Premier League football if Everton manage to bring him on board later this year.
