Everton’s busy transfer market has continued with the signing of Monaco defender Djibril Sidibé on loan.
The right-back was part of the France squad which won the World Cup in 2018.
He has made the move to Goodison Park on a season-long loan deal, which includes an option to make the move permanent.
Sidibe, who is the Toffees’ sixth summer signing, has been an important figure for Monaco and insisted that fighting for trophies was a big reason for his decision to move.
“I was very happy to hear a historic and big club like Everton was thinking of signing me,” Sidibé told Everton TV.
“It was very easy for me. I did not have to reflect for too long before making my decision to come here.
“Everton are recruiting with the intent to win trophies and play on the biggest stage.
“I am 100 per cent motivated and ready to help the club achieve its goals and to achieve my own individual goals.”
The 27-year-old has also been capped 18 times for his country.
