Newcastle United have received encouragement in their pursuit to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Everton.
The centre-forward is a key target for Magpies boss Eddie Howe, who believes he would be an excellent player to rotate with Callum Wilson next season.
The 25-year-old is ready to move on from the Toffees, per Football Insider.
Arsenal are also interested in Calvert-Lewin, and the source adds that talks have already taken place with Newcastle and the striker's representatives.
Everton are willing to cash in on the forward as they seek to balance the books and allow manager Frank Lampard to reinvest in the squad.
However, the Toffees want around £45 million for the sharp shooter.
