Everton’s chances of getting relegated are more than Arsenal’s chances of winning the title, according to FiveThirtyEight.

FiveThirtyEight’s Forecasts and Soccer Power Index (SPI) has predicted its end-of-season probabilities.

The Toffees have a 68% chance of going down, and the Gunners have a 63% chance of clinching the league.

The Forecasts and Soccer Power Index (SPI) ratings are updated after each Premier League game.

Things are not looking good for Everton and their inactivity during the January transfer window could backfire.

The Goodison Park club are currently 19th in the league table after 20 games.

They have won just three games this term, with six draws and 11 losses to their name.

Everton’s last victory came in October and new manager Sean Dyche will be keen to secure their next three points tomorrow.

The Blues host Arsenal on Saturday in their first game since Frank Lampard was sacked.

Coming up against the inspired league leaders is a tough test, and not many expect them to win.

The Gunners have lost just one game out of 19 this term.

They have picked up 16 wins and two other draws, and Everton will be lucky to secure a point against them.

With Manchester City breathing down on their neck, Arsenal cannot afford to drop any points against weaker teams.

The Toffees travel to Anfield to face Liverpool afterwards and could capitalise on the poor form of their neighbours.

Everton have never been relegated from the Premier League but they could struggle to retain their top-flight status if nothing changes.
