Everton midfielder Dali makes significant impact in France’s 11-goal mauling of Estonia
FAWSL Full-Time
Dali started the match on the bench but she made a real impact after replacing Sandie Toletti at the break at the Stade Dominique Duvauchelle.
France were ahead after just five minutes through Grace Geyoro before Marie-Antoinette Katoto soon added a second goal. Ève Périsset then converted a penalty and Delphine Cascarino quickly netted France’s fourth goal. Les Bleues went into the break 5-0 up with Toletti scoring on the stroke of half-time.
The goals continued to flow in the second half with Estonian defender Maria Orav putting through her own net before Kadidatou Diana added a seventh for France. Half-time substitute Dali then got her first goal involvement as she played in Aïssatou Tounkara to score before the pair again combined for France’s ninth goal, the latter again getting her name on the scoresheet.
Estonian defender Heleri Saar then scored an own goal before Dali rounded-off an 11-0 victory for the hosts with a goal in second half injury time.
France are back in action on Tuesday evening when they travel to Astana to face Kazakhstan.
