Everton goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan has signed a new two-year contract with the club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blue Girls this afternoon.

Brosnan has spent the last three years with Everton after joining the club from West Ham United in summer 2021. The player has gone on to make 38 appearances for the Merseyside club in the Barclays Women’s Super League. Brosnan played a leading role for Brian Sørensen’s side this season. She kept five clean sheets in 20 appearances for Everton in the Barclays Women’s Super League as the club recorded a respectable eighth-place finish.

The Republic of Ireland international’s Everton career continues to go from strength-to-strength and she could be a huge player for the club again next season after agreeing to extend her stay at Walton Hall Park.

After signing on again with The Blue Girls, Brosnan said “I’m really excited to be continuing as an Everton player. I think everyone knows how much this club, the players and the fans mean to me. To put on the Everton shirt is incredibly special. Having the opportunity to continue to do that was so important to me.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far and I’ve created a lot of great memories with the girls and the fans, and hopefully that continues over the coming years.”

Brosnan follows Elise Stenevik and Katja Snoeijs in signing a new deal at Everton this summer.
