Everton have tabled an official bid for Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as they look to sign him permanently this summer, according to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Everton manager David Moyes wants to strengthen in the middle of the park after leaving Goodison Park for their new ground – Hill Dickinson Stadium – and the 26-year-old Englishman is in their plans.

Chelsea are open to selling Dewsbury-Hall and the Toffees are in talks with them over the terms of a deal.

The former Leicester City star is not in the plans of Blues manager Enzo Maresca having struggled for playing opportunities last term, but Moyes is open to bringing him to Everton.

Dewsbury-Hall is an excellent dribbler who passes incredibly well and is a threat when it comes to delivering set-pieces and through balls, and the Merseyside club could do with his qualities in their team.

The Everton target is also a constant goal threat when playing regularly, weighing in with four goals and three assists in 13 Conference League appearances last term.

He notched 12 goals and 14 assists in 44 Championship games for Leicester in 2023-24 and could be a valuable addition to the Toffees in the attacking third due to his style of play and skillset.

Moyes needs quality additions if his side are to impress in the Premier League next season, and Dewsbury-Hall fits the bill.

He cost Chelsea around £30 million in July 2024 but could be available for around £20/£25m given that his value has dipped in recent months as a result of a lack of regular Premier League football.

Everton have only added French striker Thierno Barry from Villarreal, Moroccan left-back Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich and Irish goalkeeper Mark Travers from Bournemouth to their squad so far this summer and will need to recruit more if they do not want to struggle again next season.
