Everton have released an official statement denying they have made a second bid for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

According to Sky Sports, the Toffees offered £55m + Cenk Tosun and James McCarthy after seeing their first bid of £50m rejected.

However, Everton have since put an end to those rumours.

“Everton categorically denies bid has been submitted to Crystal Palace for Wilfried Zaha, that included an increased sum plus Cenk Tosun and James McCarthy.

“Everton and Crystal Palace have very good relationship. There was a bid was made over weekend which was turned down.

“Both clubs agreed that was end of matter.”

It remains unclear whether Everton will put forward another bid for Zaha.
