Everton defender Nathan Patterson is full of praise for Liverpool winger Luis Diaz.

The pair enjoyed an impressive battle for the 0-0 draw at Goodison Park last week.

Patterson said, "It was a good game and Diaz was a tough opponent.

"He's a great player at a great club, obviously it's a challenge for me to see what I can do and annul his threats. I feel like I did.

"You know you're going to play against a player who is capable of doing a little bit of magic in every game, so you have to be focused at all times."
