Carlo Ancelotti has established himself as one of the world’s best managers over his long and successful career. The Italian tactician has overseen clubs in several top European leagues including La Liga, Serie A and the Bundesliga and has seen glory on all fronts.

However, one of the lesser-known facts about his managerial career is that his own son, Davide Ancelotti, works as his assistant manager.

The duo have been working as a group since 2016 when Ancelotti took over as the manager of Bayern Munich. Davide moved with his father to Napoli in 2018 and even worked as his assistant manager at Everton between 2019 and 2021.

According to reports from Sami Mokbel, Davide Ancelotti is one of the possible candidates on the table to take over as the manager of Everton. This would be a big break in the career of the young aspiring manager.

At the moment, Davide is working at Real Madrid under the command of Carlo Ancelotti and can often be seen playing a vocal role on the sidelines of Santiago Bernabeu. Now, however, his spell with the Merengues could be close to ending.

Everton are currently in a precarious situation in the Premier League and sit in the relegation zone. They have just 15 points in 20 league games and have won just three games so far.

To hire an inexperienced manager like Davide would undoubtedly be a massive risk on the part of the Toffees. With their position in the first division at stake, one would assume that the possibility of Everton taking such a massive chance is low.

Marcelo Bielsa is said to be in a prime position to take over at Everton and has arrived in the city to negotiate with the management. Sean Dyche is another big contender who sits above Ancelotti on the administration’s preference.

If given a chance to take over, there is little doubt whether Carlo Ancelotti would allow his son to leave Real Madrid. However, it remains to be seen if he hires a new face to work as his assistant subsequently.
