Everton have confirmed that veteran Ashley Young will leave the club at the expiration of his contract this summer.
Young joined the Toffees in 2023 and has gone on to play 61 times in the Premier League over the past two seasons.
But in a statement on Saturday the Merseyside outfit released a statement revealing that the 39-year-old will be departing alongside Asmir Begović and João Virgínia.
Manager David Moyes said: "Since my return to the Club, I’ve seen what a great professional Ash is and know the leadership qualities he has brought to the squad during his time at Everton. His versatility, experience and know-how have also been really beneficial to the team and me."
Young will be in the squad for Everton tomorrow when they say goodbye to Goodison Park ahead of their final game at the old stadium.
