Everton are looking to replace the injured Ben Godfrey with Wolves captain Conor Coady, according to The Times.

Godfrey suffered what looked to be a horrific injury when tackling Kai Havertz during Saturday’s defeat to Chelsea and afterwards was confirmed to be out for ‘months rather than weeks’ due to a fractured fibula.

Meanwhile. Coady has reportedly been given no guarantees he will start for Wolves this season after boss Bruno Lage has switched to a back four and Nathan Collins has arrived in a £20m move from Burnley.

It is reported that it will likely be an initial loan move with an option to make it permanent.
