In a recent report, Estadio Deportivo revealed that Everton are keeping tabs on Real Betis winger Luiz Henrique. It has been stated that the Toffees are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Brazilian wide player this January.

Henrique’s Recent Form In Spanish Football

Henrique has caught the eye at times in La Liga this season but has struggled to be productive for the Spanish club in the final third. The Brazilian sensation has participated in 19 matches for Real Betis during this campaign, scoring just once but picking up a couple of assists in various competitions.

However, the 23-year-old deserves some credit for averaging 0.9 shots, 0.8 key passes and 1.5 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He needs to be more accurate when interchanging possession with his teammates after making 74.5% of his attempted passes in the Spanish top flight (stats via whoscored).

Henrique’s current contract at the Spanish club will expire in the summer of 2028. Hence, Everton would have to make a sizable offer if they are to convince Real Betis to part ways with their prized asset before the end of this month.

What Will Henrique Bring To Everton?

Henrique is proficient at finding some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He can strike the ball with venom from long range and has got the eye to set up a few decent plays for others around him. The Brazilian sensation is a good dribbler with the ball as well. He mainly operates as a right-sided wide player but can also play as a left-winger if asked to do so by his manager.

Henrique will bring more creativity and depth to Everton boss Sean Dyche’s match-day squad. He is good enough to help the Toffees get out of relegation trouble in the Premier League this season.

the Merseyside club in the long run. However, he is far from a consistent goal-getter, so Dyche might be better off opting for a more proven option before the end of this January transfer window.
