In a recent report, The Northern Echo claimed that Everton are eyeing a loan move for Manchester United starlet Amad Diallo this summer. It has been revealed that the Toffees will face competition in the form of West Ham United in the race to sign the Ivory Coast international.

Diallo’s Impressive Campaign In The EFL Championship

Diallo has enjoyed a decent loan spell at Sunderland during this campaign after he put in a run of eye-catching performances for them in the final third. The 20-year-old has banged in 14 goals and picked up four assists in 43 matches for the English outfit this season in multiple competitions.

The Ivorian talent deserves a ton of credit for averaging 1.9 shots, 1.0 key passes and 1.9 dribbles per game in the EFL Championship. He has even been accurate when distributing the ball from the back after completing 86% of his attempted passes in the English second tier (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at his parent club Man United is set to run out in the summer of 2025. Thus, it makes sense for Everton to try and sign him on a loan deal in this off-season.

Will Recruiting Diallo On Loan Be A Good Move For Everton Boss Sean Dyche?

Diallo can use his pace to leave his marker to bite the dust out on the wide areas. He has got the eye to play a few decisive passes in the final third and remains an excellent dribbler with the ball at his feet. Diallo is primarily a right-winger but can also play on the left flank or in the number ten position if required.

The Ivory Coast sensation can also strike the ball with venom from long range and has done well to contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals in the final third.

However, only time will tell whether the gifted youngster can replicate his good form in the Premier League. We can expect Diallo to add more pace and goals to Everton head coach Sean Dyche’s frontline. He might even help the Toffees stay out of relegation trouble in the English top flight next season.
