Everton have appointed Sean Dyche as their new manager after sacking Frank Lampard last week.

Dyche has signed a two-and-a-half year deal returns management for the first time since he was sacked by Burnley last April with the club on the brink of relegation from the Premier League.

Lampard was relieved of his duties on Monday after having helped oversee Everton’s worst win-rate in the Premier League era.

The Toffees are currently 19th in the table having won just three games all season.

The Goodison Park club had been linked with the likes of Marcelo Bielsa and Ralph Hasenhüttl but have opted to hire Dyche in a bid to help them stave off relegation.

Dyche spent 10 years at Turf Moor, guiding Burnley to two promotions from the Championship to the top flight in three years.
