The Merseyside rivals are joined in their Women’s League Cup group by Manchester United and Newcastle United.

The draw was made live on talkSPORT2’s Social Show and carried out by former England international Lianne Sanderson.

Northern Section

Group A – Newcastle United, Everton, Manchester United, Liverpool

Group B – Durham, Sheffield United, Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers

Southern Section

Group C – West Ham United, Southampton, Portsmouth, London City Lionesses

Group D – Birmingham City, Leicester City, Bristol City, Brighton & Hove Albion

Group E –  Crystal Palace, Charlton Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa

UEFA Women’s Championship League Teams

Chelsea will enter the competition at the Quarter Final Stage. If either Arsenal or Manchester City exit the UWCL in either Rounds 1 or 2, then they will enter the League Cup at the Group Stage (playing their first match on 16/17 October). A draw would take place to determine which group (A or B) Manchester City and (C,D or E) Arsenal would join.
