Even in the event of a CL triumph: Bayern stick to Tuchel separation

The form curve at FC Bayern has recently shown a clear upward trend. So much so that some in Munich are even considering Thomas Tuchel staying on. However, those responsible at the German record champions have ruled out this scenario.

While Bayern have suffered one setback after another in their search for a new head coach, there have recently been more and more voices in favour of Thomas Tuchel staying. Before signing a „bad C-solution“ in the summer, Tuchel could stay until 2025 – until a new attempt is made on the coaching market, possibly with Jürgen Klopp or Sebastian Hoeneß.

However, the 50-year-old himself ruled out this option and referred to the existing agreement between him and the club. Tuchel wants to finish the current season, ideally by winning the Champions League, and then take on a new challenge.

Bayern bosses want to end collaboration with Tuchel

According to kicker, it is „highly unlikely“ that Tuchel will continue as coach, not least because the club’s management still considers the separation to be correct, despite Bayern’s progression to the Champions League semi-finals.

Regardless of the sporting success, even in the event of a triumph in the premier class, the Isar seems to have come to the realisation that Bayern and Tuchel are clearly not a good match. Especially as they are planning a major squad shake-up in the summer.

Interesting: While Bayern are having (major) problems finding a new coach, things seem to be looking better for Tuchel. According to kicker, Tuchel is already in contact with Manchester United. Should the Red Devils part ways with Erik ten Hag in the summer, Tuchel is considered the favoured solution of co-owner James Ratcliffe.
