Roma were able to breathe a sigh of relief following Evan Ndicka’s discharge from the hospital on Monday afternoon.
After collapsing on the pitch at the Dacia Arena with Udinese on Sunday, Ndicka underwent several tests to establish the possibility of a heart attack. The tests did not reveal any such thing.
The player was ultimately diagnosed with thoracic trauma and allowed to return to the Italian capital where he will continue his recovery.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Ndicka immediately visited with his teammates at Trigoria upon returning to Rome.
He will be closely monitored by the medical staff and continue to undergo regular check-ups.
The estimated recovery period could be between 3 and 4 weeks, reports the newspaper.
