Evan Ndicka deemed ideal fit for Roma’s new project

Evan Ndicka is back at Trigoria for his second season at Roma.

The Ivorian centreback returned to the club’s training centre on Friday following his much needed break from international duty.

Ndicka is one of the few players whose spot on Roma’s roster is guaranteed ahead of next season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, his stay was requested by Daniele De Rossi who is a big admirer of his and considers him a cornerstone for the Giallorossi formation.

The newspaper states that Roma deem Ndicka the ideal fit and perfect representation of their new project that is underway.

He is expected to start alongside Chris Smalling in Roma’s first preseason friendly with Latina on 17 July.
