Declan Rice is sweating over his fitness just as West Ham consolidated their place in the race for top four.

The midfielder appeared to have nailed a spot in the England side ahead of the Euro 2020 as well but a knee injury has sparked fears he could now miss the tournament.

However, the Athletic now say he could be back in four to five weeks, giving him a month to get fit before the summer tournament begins.

The report adds that Rice is thought to have suffered a small tear to his lateral knee ligament but has avoided further internal damage.

West Ham beat Wolves on Monday night to go fourth in the Premier League with eight games remaining.
