After the announcement of Lorenzo Insigne signing a pre contract with Toronto FC made the whole of MLS excited. In the meantime it made the others think why such a talented player at the peak of his career chose to go outside Europe. Insigne 30 has been in great form, in the previous summer he played an important role in Italy’s side which won the Euro 2020 after a very long time. He has agreed a four-year contract with Toronto FC, though he will complete his remaining season with Napoli and then join them on 1st July.

Toronto has made a huge investment in Insigne promising him to pay around $13 million per year. This is one of the highest deals in MLS history. The addition of such a talented player in his prime will hopefully have a positive impact to the team. Insigne should be able to help TFC to get back to the top of MLS.
