Pedrinho may have said that he is planning to renew his contract at Corinthians, but that has not extinguished interest from Europe in the 21-year-old.
The midfielder was already under contract until December 2020, and his deal includes a release clause of €50 million.
“Yes [I will renew]. We are talking so that, in early January, we can talk about the renewal. Even before [the resignation of coach Fábio Carille], it was already decided,” Pedrinho said earlier this week.
However, Brazilian journalist Fernando Galvão has reported that European scouts were in attendance to watch the youngster in Sunday’s clash with Botafogo.
Galvão did not reveal which club it is, but Pedrinho has previously been linked with Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund.
